The Supply Register is proud to be working alongside Wade Deacon Academy, who are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their school.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or someone with relevant classroom experience who is passionate about supporting students and maintaining a positive learning environment.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play an important role within the school, supervising classes in the absence of the usual teacher and ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their learning.

‍ The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher

• Delivering pre-prepared lessons and work set by teaching staff

• Ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their learning

• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Supporting students with their classwork where appropriate

• Maintaining a positive, safe and productive learning environment

• Taking registers and following school procedures

• Providing support to students across a range of subjects

• Encouraging students to work independently

• Reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate member of staff

• Working closely with teachers and other school staff

• Following safeguarding and school policies at all times

⭐ Who We're Looking For

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and confident Cover Supervisor who can make a positive difference to students at Wade Deacon Academy.

Experience as a:

• Cover Supervisor

• Teaching Assistant (TA)

• Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

• Classroom Support Assistant

• Education Support Worker

• Graduate with classroom experience

• Sports Coach or Youth Worker

would be beneficial.

• Previous experience working within a school or educational setting is desirable

• Strong classroom management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A confident and professional approach

• Ability to build positive relationships with students

• Ability to work effectively as part of a school team

• A genuine commitment to supporting students' learning

• Good understanding of safeguarding and school procedures

• A fully enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service

DBS REQUIREMENT

A fully enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required for this role. Candidates must be able to provide their DBS details for verification before commencing work.

PAY: £110 PER DAY
