Are you an experienced Customer Service or Office Manager who enjoys being at the heart of a busy business?

We’re recruiting for a Customer Service Manager to join an established manufacturing organisation in Wednesbury. This is a varied, hands-on position combining customer service leadership, sales order processing, office management and operational support.

It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants a role where they can genuinely make an impact across the wider business.

You’ll take responsibility for the smooth running of the customer service and office function, ensuring customers receive a consistently high level of service while supporting the wider operational team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating the day-to-day customer service function

• Overseeing sales order processing and ensuring customer requirements are handled efficiently

• Acting as a key point of contact for customer service queries and issues

• Managing and supporting a Customer Service Coordinator

• Maintaining effective office systems, processes and procedures

• Providing administrative support to the senior leadership team

• Working closely with internal departments to resolve issues and improve the customer experience

• Supporting and leading wider operational projects, including efficiency, sustainability and environmental initiatives

• Liaising with the People team regarding starters, leavers and employee-related processes

• Supporting Health & Safety activity, compliance and training

• Coordinating suppliers and external service providers

• Supporting building, facilities, utilities and security requirements

• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working across the function

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable juggling a varied workload.

You may currently be working as a Customer Service Manager, Customer Service Team Leader, Office Manager, Sales Office Manager, Internal Sales Manager or Customer Service & Operations Manager.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Previous experience managing a customer service, sales office or administrative function

• Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, distribution or similarly fast-paced environment

• Strong organisational and multitasking skills

• Excellent communication and relationship-building ability

• Experience managing or supervising others

• Confidence dealing with customers and resolving issues

• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail

• Strong Microsoft Office skills

• A practical, solutions-focused approach

• The confidence to work with colleagues at all levels of the business

This isn't a role where you'll be sitting behind a desk doing the same thing every day. You'll become a central part of the operation, working across customer service, people, projects and the wider business.
