Children with Disabilities Social Worker
North Somerset Council | Weston-super-Mare
Up to £45 per hour | 37 hours per week
Caritas Recruitment is supporting North Somerset Council with the recruitment of experienced Children with Disabilities Social Workers to join a dedicated service supporting children and young people with complex needs and their families.

Key Details

• Location: Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset
• Pay Rate: Up to £45 per hour
• Hours: 37 hours per week
• Travel Support: Up to £100 per week available for candidates who travel to the area for work
• Office Requirement: Minimum 2 days per week in the office
• Visits: All statutory visits must be completed face-to-face

About the Role

As a Children with Disabilities Social Worker, you will:

• Manage a caseload of children and young people with disabilities
• Complete assessments, care planning, and reviews
• Work closely with families and multi-agency partners
• Undertake safeguarding and child protection work where required
• Contribute to achieving positive outcomes for children and their families
• Prepare reports and attend relevant meetings, including court proceedings where necessary

About You

To be considered, you will need:

• Social Work England registration
• Experience within Children's Social Care
• Previous Children with Disabilities experience
• Strong assessment and safeguarding skills
• Experience of multi-agency working
• Excellent report writing and case management skills
• A commitment to delivering positive outcomes for children and families
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
