Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a skilled and proactive Lead Data Analyst to join their UK&I Digital & Data Hub on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
Job Overview
This role plays a central part in analysing performance and client KPI data spanning multiple operating systems, ensuring visibility, accuracy, and insight across the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming complex datasets into meaningful intelligence that supports effective decision‑making.
The position offers a broad remit with the opportunity to influence analytical approaches, data solutions, and the development of scalable data products. Working closely with account teams, operational teams, and central functions, the Lead Data Analyst will help drive continuous improvement through high‑quality analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, transform, and validate data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across multiple data sources.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues in collaboration with data owners and key stakeholders.
- Apply analytical techniques to uncover trends, patterns, and relationships that support business decision‑making.
- Develop clear and compelling dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
- Engage with business leaders, operational teams, and clients to understand requirements and translate them into actionable analytical outputs.
- Ensure adherence to data governance standards, including documentation, security, and compliance requirements.
- Track performance metrics and KPIs, identifying opportunities for optimisation, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Support the development and maintenance of data models and data products in collaboration with Data Engineers and the wider data team.
Person Specification
- Proven experience using Tableau for data analysis and visualisation.
- Experience using Power BI for dashboarding and reporting.
- Strong experience working within complex business structures and across multiple operating systems.
- Demonstrable ability to work with large data volumes and extract meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in SQL, including writing queries, joining tables, and optimising performance.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical audiences.
- Awareness of data governance, data quality standards, data lineage, security, and compliance.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, root‑cause analysis skills, and sound business acumen.
