Tradewind Recruitment is working with a high-performing secondary school in Central London to appoint a highly organised and detail-focused candidate for a Data & MIS Officer role.
This is a key position responsible for ensuring the accuracy, security, and effective use of all student and school data. The successful candidate will support senior leaders by producing clear, accurate analysis and reports that inform decision-making and help improve student outcomes.
You will oversee the school's Management Information System, ensuring data integrity, compliance with statutory requirements, and effective use of data across teaching, learning, attendance, and pastoral systems.

Data Management & Reporting
Maintain accuracy and integrity of all MIS data
Produce reports for SLT, governors, and department leaders
Analyse attainment, progress, and attendance data
Support statutory returns including DfE census requirements
Manage target grades and performance tracking systems
Systems Administration
Oversee MIS platforms (e.g. Arbor or similar systems)
Manage user access, permissions, and system updates
Support year-end procedures and data transitions
Design templates, reports, and assessment tools
Curriculum & Timetable Support
Support options process and student allocations
Assist with timetabling and course data management
Ensure accurate data transitions between academic years
Attendance & Pastoral Data
Monitor attendance and persistent absence
Support safeguarding and pastoral teams with data insights
Ensure compliance with attendance regulations
Team & Administrative Support
Support wider administrative and leadership teams
Produce ad hoc reports, extracts, and data summaries
Assist with parent and student data queries
Essential:
Experience using MIS systems (Arbor, SIMS, Bromcom or similar)
Strong analytical and data management skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Understanding of GDPR and data protection requirements
Ability to work effectively with senior leadership teams
Full-time availability
Desirable:
Experience in a secondary school environment
Knowledge of attendance, assessment, and reporting systems
Experience producing reports for SLT or governors
Experience supporting or delivering system training
