Job Description:

Job Role: Weapons Engineer

Location: Bristol - Hybrid (2-3 days on-site)

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Proactive are currently in search of multiple experienced Weapons Engineers to start work for a client in Bristol. This is a permanent position offering ample opportunities for progression and development. The ideal candidate will have come from a defence or service background looking to take the next step in their career.

The Weapons Systems Engineer supports the design, integration, testing and through-life support of complex weapons or combat systems. Depending on the project, the role may cover electronic systems, sensors, communications interfaces, system performance or engineering verification.

Key responsibilities

• Review system requirements and technical specifications.
• Support the integration of equipment and subsystems.
• Investigate technical faults and performance issues.
• Develop or review test procedures and engineering reports.
• Participate in trials, verification and validation activities.
• Maintain technical records and contribute to engineering assurance.
• Coordinate with software, electrical, mechanical and systems engineering teams.

Experience and skills sought

• Understanding of complex equipment and subsystem integration.
• Weapons engineering, electronic engineering or systems engineering experience.
• Experience in testing, maintenance, troubleshooting or technical assurance.
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and produce clear documentation.
• Security clearance where required by the project.
