About the Company I am currently working with a well-established drylining and interiors contractor that delivers drylining, ceilings, partitions, SFS and associated interior packages across London and the South East. The business has built an excellent reputation within the market and works with a number of leading main contractors on residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.
About the Role Due to continued growth, I am looking to speak with experienced Design Managers from a drylining or interior fit-out background.
You will be responsible for managing the design process from pre-construction through to project completion, ensuring design information is coordinated, compliant and issued in line with programme requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the design process across multiple projects.
- Coordinating architects, consultants, clients and project teams.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
- Managing RFIs, drawing approvals and design changes.
- Ensuring designs comply with building regulations and project requirements.
- Supporting project delivery teams with technical guidance and problem-solving.
- Attending design meetings and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
- Working closely with commercial and operational teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Design Manager within the drylining, partitions, ceilings, SFS or interior fit-out sectors.
- Strong technical understanding of drylining and interior systems.
- Experience managing subcontractor design packages.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
