Salary: £32,916 - £51,048

Teacher Active is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school in Essex that is looking to appoint a Design Technology Teacher. Rated ‘Good’ by OFSTED, the school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential through a broad and engaging curriculum.

The school is seeking a permanent Design Technology Teacher from 01 September 2026 on a full-time basis. The successful Design Technology Teacher will teach across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, specialising in one or more of the following areas: Product Design, Graphics, Textiles or Food. The successful Design Technology Teacher will also play an active role in extra-curricular clubs, competitions and school events related to Design Technology.

The successful Design Technology Teacher will have:

• QTS or ECT status

• A degree, or equivalent experience, with a recognised teaching qualification

• Experience teaching Design Technology across KS3 and KS4

• A specialism in Product Design, Graphics, Textiles or Food

• Strong classroom management and organisational skills

• A passion for practical learning and student achievement
