We're looking for an experienced technology leader to take ownership of a growing digital platform and API capability within a highly regulated, customer-focused organisation.

This is an opportunity to influence digital strategy, drive platform evolution, and lead the delivery of scalable technology solutions that support business growth and customer experience.


The Role
As Development Manager - Digital Platforms & APIs, you'll own the vision, roadmap and ongoing development of key digital products, platforms and integration services.
You'll work closely with business leaders, architects, technology teams and third-party partners to ensure solutions are delivered effectively, securely and in line with organisational strategy.

Key responsibilities:

• Defining and managing product roadmaps for digital platforms and API services
• Owning priorities, backlogs and delivery outcomes
• Driving platform adoption and continuous improvement
• Leading the delivery of new applications, enhancements and integrations
• Working with architecture, engineering and security teams to shape future solutions
• Managing third-party technology partners and suppliers
• Ensuring governance, risk and compliance standards are maintained
• Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across technology and business functions
• Supporting the evolution of modern digital delivery and platform-based operating models
• Leading and developing a small team of technical specialists

Requirements:

• Experience owning platforms, products or API capabilities
• Strong understanding of APIs, integrations and modern digital architecture
• Experience managing product roadmaps and prioritisation
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
• Experience working with third-party delivery partners and vendors
• Knowledge of Agile delivery practices and product management methodologies
• Exposure to governance, risk, compliance and security frameworks
• The ability to translate business objectives into scalable technology solutions

Desirable Experience

• Financial services, fintech, insurance or other regulated sector experience
• Product Owner or Product Management certifications
• Knowledge of API governance and integration patterns
• Experience working with enterprise architecture and security functions
• Exposure to digital transformation or platform modernisation programmes
