DevOps Engineer - Linux

+12 months +

+On site in Hampshire

+Outside IR35

+£600 - £700 a day

+DV cleared role - current active clearance is essential

+Sole British national only - due to the nature of the project

We are seeking an experienced DV Cleared DevOps Engineer to join a high-profile defence programme, supporting the delivery and operation of secure, mission-critical infrastructure.

This is a hands-on role for an engineer with strong Linux administration skills and a solid DevOps background, working within highly secure environments.

• Build, automate and maintain secure Linux-based environments.
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux servers and associated services.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications.
• Work closely with infrastructure, software and security teams to deliver resilient platforms.
• Monitor, maintain and optimise system performance and availability.

• Active DV Clearance.
• Strong Linux administration experience (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• DevOps tooling including Jenkins, Git, GitLab or Azure DevOps.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Ansible.
• Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Bash and/or Python scripting.
• Experience with version control (Git).
• Knowledge of networking, system hardening and security best practices.
