Domestic Gas Engineer

Location: Inverness (Covering the North of Scotland – including Inverness, Nairn, Dingwall, Elgin, Wick, Tain, Invergordon, Fort William and surrounding areas)

Salary: Up to £44,000 + Company Van + Excellent Benefits

The Company

Our client is a leading Facilities Management provider, delivering high-quality maintenance services across a portfolio of housing association properties throughout Scotland. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Domestic Gas Engineer to join their team covering the North of Scotland.

The Role

This is a mobile position carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across domestic properties for a number of housing association clients.

You will be responsible for ensuring all gas servicing, repairs and installations are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard while providing excellent customer service.

Duties Include:

• Carrying out annual gas servicing in domestic properties
• Fault finding and repairing domestic gas appliances and heating systems
• Boiler breakdowns, diagnostics and repairs
• Landlord Gas Safety Certificates (CP12s)
• Replacing domestic boilers and heating components where required
• Completing reactive maintenance works
• Ensuring all work complies with current Gas Safe regulations
• Updating job information via a handheld device
• Providing excellent customer service when working within occupied homes

Requirements

• Current Domestic Gas qualifications (ACS) including:
  • CCN1
  • CENWAT
  • CKR1
  • HTR1
• Gas Safe registered (or eligible)
• Experience working within domestic maintenance or social housing
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Excellent customer service skills

Desirable

• Experience working within housing associations or local authority housing
