EC&I Engineer

Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Office based

We are currently recruiting for an EC&I Engineer to join an established engineering business based in West Yorkshire.

The company designs and manufactures specialist engineered equipment and containment solutions for highly regulated industries. This position would suit an experienced EC&I Engineer looking to take responsibility for the electrical, controls and instrumentation elements of technically interesting engineering projects.

The Role

You will be involved in projects from initial design and development through to commissioning, working alongside mechanical design, manufacturing and project engineering teams.

• Electrical controls and instrumentation design
• PLC programming and software development
• Working with Siemens or Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLC systems
• Producing electrical drawings and control system documentation
• Developing and modifying existing control systems
• Selection and specification of electrical and instrumentation equipment
• Supporting control panel design and manufacture
• Fault finding and troubleshooting
• Supporting testing and commissioning of equipment
• Working closely with mechanical, electrical and project engineering teams
• Providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within an EC&I, Controls, Automation or Electrical Controls Engineering position
• Strong PLC programming experience
• Experience with either Siemens or Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLCs
• Good understanding of electrical control systems and instrumentation
• Ability to read and produce electrical drawings and technical documentation
• Experience working with industrial machinery, process equipment or automated systems
• Experience within containment, pharmaceutical, cleanroom or other highly regulated environments would be advantageous but isn't essential
