Educational Senior HR Advisor

Full Time Monday to Friday  8:00am to 4:00pm  Immediate Start Ongoing Assignment

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Senior HR Advisor to join the HR team within a school trust environment, providing high-quality HR support and guidance across multiple educational settings.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with strong employee relations experience who is confident managing complex casework, providing employment law advice, and supporting schools with a wide range of HR matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing robust HR advice and guidance to school leaders and managers.
• Managing employee relations casework, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance matters.
• Preparing case documentation, reports, and outcome letters.
• Advising on employment law and HR best practice.
• Supporting the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Building positive working relationships with stakeholders across schools.
• Working collaboratively with Trade Unions and employee representatives.
• Supporting schools through inspections and ensuring compliance with relevant HR requirements.
• Contributing to the delivery of strategic HR initiatives and projects.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Extensive HR experience, ideally within the education sector.
• Proven experience managing employee relations casework from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and its practical application.
• Experience drafting outcome letters and HR documentation.
• Familiarity with Ofsted inspections and Single Central Record (SCR) requirements.
• Experience providing confident and professional HR advice to senior stakeholders.
• Experience supporting policy development and implementation.
• Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with Trade Unions and managing stakeholder relationships.
• An understanding of the HR agenda and operational challenges within schools.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in a Senior HR Advisor or equivalent HR role.
• Experience working within an educational setting or supporting schools.
• Strong employee relations and employment law knowledge.
• Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.
• A current Enhanced DBS Certificate registered with the DBS Update Service.
