Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Bias Maintenance Technician to join a busy FMCG manufacturing facility in Flint, North Wales.
This is a permanent opportunity for a time-served engineer with a strong electrical bias who enjoys working in a fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Working as part of the Engineering & Maintenance team, you will play a key role in keeping production machinery and equipment operating safely and efficiently, responding to breakdowns and completing planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out reactive and planned maintenance across a busy FMCG manufacturing facility.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on production machinery.
- Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
- Identify recurring faults and contribute to improvements in equipment reliability.
- Support engineering projects and equipment upgrades where required.
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures.
- Support a strong culture of Health & Safety and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Time-served Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias.
- Recognised engineering apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
- Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding skills.
- Previous experience within FMCG, food, packaging or another high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience carrying out both reactive and preventative maintenance.
- Ability to effectively fault-find and return production equipment to operation.
- Good understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
- Experience working within a fast-paced, production-led environment.
- Flexible approach and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness and ability to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
