The Opportunity

My client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Sales Contracts Manager to support the continued growth of their electrical services business.

This is a commercially focused role combining sales, business development, account management and contract delivery. The successful candidate will develop existing client relationships, win new business and work with operational teams to ensure contracts are delivered efficiently and profitably.

The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical contracting, facilities management, property maintenance or construction, and be proactive, commercially minded and confident building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities to grow accounts and secure repeat business.
• Proactively generate new business, build a sales pipeline and win new contracts.
• Attend client meetings and site visits to develop relationships and identify opportunities.
• Prepare and follow up quotations, tenders and commercial proposals.
• Negotiate pricing, rates and contract terms, ensuring profitable margins.
• Work closely with estimating, operations and scheduling teams to ensure work is delivered effectively.
• Identify opportunities to expand services and increase revenue.
• Manage client relationships from initial enquiry through to contract delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sales, business development, account management or contracts management.
• Background in electrical contracting, FM, property maintenance, housing or construction.
• Track record of winning new business and growing existing accounts.
• Strong commercial awareness, including pricing, labour, materials and profit margins.
• Experience with quotations, tenders and commercial negotiations.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and follow-up skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable generating your own opportunities.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.

Experience working with facilities management companies, housing associations, care homes, commercial clients, managing agents or national accounts would be advantageous.

Location & Working Arrangements

The role is based around Fareham, Hampshire, with hybrid and flexible working available. Regular travel to client meetings and sites will be required.
