Intermediate or Senior Electrical Design Engineer - (Building Services / MEP)

£40k to £65k dept on experience

Join an ambitious building services design team creating designs for a range of technical environments, projects types include military manufacturing plants, data centres, marine engineering departments, engine design suites and large and complex plant rooms. Responsibilities

• Undertake Electrical design work consisting of surveys, design, drawings and specifications for projects. Including undertaking calculations on cable sizing, lighting selections etc
• Attend project meetings with clients and other design team members, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Carry out site surveys for projects, to obtain all relevant information required for carrying out scheme design.
• Carry out detailed scheme designs enabling competitive tenders to be obtained for the works.
• Write specifications for the works.
• Taking opportunities to learn and develop your skills as an engineer
• To work with a focus on low carbon design.
• Guide more junior engineers

Experience Required

• Building Services Degree or Electrical Design Degree or other related higher educational qualification (HNC/HND)
• At least 2 -3 years’ experience electrical design within building services
• Experience in maintaining and building good working relationships.
• Technical design experience should include electrical calculations, drawings, specifications.
• Experience using design software
• Hold a full UK driving license.
