Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Whitefield, Manchester
Salary: £55,000
Shift: 4 on 4 off Days and Nights (2D2N)

You will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, fault-finding, planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown maintenance across a range of production machinery and automated equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.
You will also have the opportunity to work on electrical control systems, motors, sensors, drives, PLC-controlled machinery and control panels, whilst supporting ongoing engineering improvements across the site.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance EngineerElectrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced factory environment.
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic experience.
Recognised electrical engineering qualification.
Hands-on electrical fault-finding experience.
Experience working with industrial production machinery.
Experience with motors, sensors, contactors, relays, inverters/VSDs and control panels.
Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment and electrical control systems.
Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance.
Recognised electrical engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, ONC/HNC or equivalent.
Experience working within a manufacturing, FMCG, food production or similar industrial environment.
Good understanding of electrical safety and safe isolation procedures.
Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK.
Previous experience within food manufacturing or FMCG.
PLC fault-finding experience.
Experience with continuous improvement and root-cause analysis.
Mechanical maintenance experience would be advantageous.
