Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Salary: Up to £42,000
Shift Pattern: Double Days (earlies/backs)
We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically skilled engineer looking to join a stable operation with a strong focus on reliability, continuous improvement and preventative maintenance.
Working on a double days shift pattern, you will be responsible for keeping production equipment running efficiently, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, and minimising downtime across the site.
The Role
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
- Diagnose and fault-find electrical and control system issues.
- Repair and maintain production machinery and associated equipment.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
- Work with motors, drives, sensors, control panels and electrical systems.
- Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and to a high standard.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
The Ideal Candidate
- Electrically qualified or time-served, ideally with an NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / equivalent.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with PLCs, drives, motors and industrial control systems would be advantageous.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance.
