Electrical Shift Engineer – Canary Wharf

Location: Canary Wharf, London
Salary: Up to £50,000 + bonuses
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – Days only, 8am–8pm
Overtime: Available

The Role

As an Electrical Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems across a high-profile commercial site in Canary Wharf.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance
• Fault finding and diagnosing electrical issues
• Responding to breakdowns and ensuring equipment is returned to service safely
• Completing PPMs in line with the maintenance schedule
• Monitoring and maintaining critical electrical systems
• Carrying out routine inspections and testing
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health & safety procedures
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Working closely with the wider engineering and facilities team
• Supporting continuous improvement and reliability across the site

About You

We’re looking for an electrically qualified engineer with a strong maintenance background who is comfortable working within a commercial or critical environment.

You should have:

• A recognised Electrical qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds
• Previous experience in a commercial building services, facilities or critical environment
• Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance skills
• Good understanding of electrical systems and building services
• A proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving
• Good communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider engineering team
