Electrical Shift Engineer
Location: Westminster, Central London
Site: Art Gallery
Salary: £50,000 - £54,000 per annum + Benefits
Shift Pattern: Continental Days & Nights
Hours: 42 hours per week | 6:30am-6:30pm / 6:30pm-6:30am

The Opportunity

A leading facilities management company is recruiting for an Electrical Shift Engineer to join their engineering team at a prestigious art gallery in Central London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer with strong multi-skilled maintenance experience, responsible for maintaining essential building services and ensuring the smooth operation of the site within a 24/7 environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across electrical and mechanical building services.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults across lighting, power, distribution boards and electrical controls.
• Maintain emergency lighting and associated electrical systems.
• Support maintenance of HVAC systems, pumps, motors and other mechanical plant.
• Assist with heating, ventilation and public health system maintenance.
• Complete maintenance records and reports using CAFM systems.
• Follow health and safety procedures, risk assessments and Permits to Work.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and support minor projects and event-related requirements.
• Ensure systems operate safely and meet service level agreements.

Essential Requirements

• L3 Electrical Installations (NVQ/C&G)
• Relevant electrical engineering qualification.
• Proven experience in commercial building services maintenance.
• Strong electrical fault-finding, PPM and reactive maintenance experience.
• Good multi-skilled knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC.
• Understanding of Health & Safety and safe systems of work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a shift team.
• Flexible to work a continental days and nights shift pattern.

Desirable: 18th Edition, Electrical Inspection and Testing, BMS knowledge and experience with CAFM systems.
