Electrical Site Manager – Night Shift

Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire
Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00pm–3:00am
Start Date: 21st September 2026
Contract: Freelance
Rate: £450–£550 per day

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Site Manager to join a major data centre project in St Albans on a freelance basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Site Manager with strong experience working on large-scale, technically demanding projects who is looking for a long-term opportunity on a high-profile data centre development.

The Role

Working as part of the site delivery team, you will take responsibility for overseeing electrical installation activities during the night shift, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality and programme.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating electrical subcontractors and site teams.
• Overseeing electrical installation and construction activities.
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality on site.
• Coordinating with other site disciplines and the wider project team.
• Monitoring progress and reporting any issues or delays.
• Supporting testing, commissioning and handover activities where required.
• Ensuring all works are completed to the required standards and project specifications.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager / Electrical Supervisor on major construction projects.
• Previous experience working on data centre, mission-critical, industrial or similarly complex projects, however candidates from all sectors will be considered 
• Strong knowledge of electrical installations and construction processes.
• Excellent subcontractor management and coordination skills.
• A strong understanding of health & safety requirements.
• The ability to work independently and make decisions effectively during a night shift.
• Relevant electrical/site management qualifications.
• A proactive, organised and professional approach.

Package & Opportunity

• £450–£550 per day, depending on experience.
• Freelance contract, CIS or Ltd 
• Monday–Thursday, 5:00pm–3:00am.
• Based on a major data centre project in St Albans.
• Target start date: 21st September 2026.
