Electrical Supervisor

Electrical Manager – Basildon
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Manager to join our team in Basildon, overseeing the day-to-day delivery of assigned contracts and leading site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to the required quality standards.
You will play a key role in managing operational performance, client relationships, commercial performance and compliance across your contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned contracts, providing effective leadership to Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers and trainees.
Ensure all Health & Safety, SHEQ and company procedures are fully implemented, including PPE, site inductions, RAMS and CSCS requirements.
Monitor and deliver contractual KPIs, targets and contract commitments.
Ensure all contract specifications and requirements are understood and consistently followed, including materials, workmanship and company standards.
Develop and manage project programmes and cash flow forecasts, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are achieved.
Monitor workflows and resources in line with agreed programmes and financial forecasts.
Identify, record and maximise opportunities for additional works, ensuring all variations are accurately evidenced and submitted to the client in a timely manner.
Manage and monitor subcontractors, including labour costs, additional works and overall performance.
Work closely with the Quantity Surveyor to monitor costs and maximise contract profitability.
Maintain effective communication with clients, site teams, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to ensure a collaborative, one-team approach.
Prepare and present weekly and monthly progress reports for clients and senior management.
Attend site and client meetings, ensuring all relevant information and documentation is prepared in advance.
Work closely with the SHEQ Manager to ensure company policies, procedures and reporting requirements are consistently followed.
Mentor and support Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers and trainees, helping to develop the wider team.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate materials to support just-in-time delivery and minimise unnecessary costs.
Improve the effective use of company systems and software, support the IT team with the development and implementation of new technical solutions.
Support the bid team with requests for information, project programmes and other tender requirements.
Administration & Commercial Control
Produce and maintain accurate project programmes and cash flow forecasts.
Prepare progress reports and supporting documentation for client and management meetings.
Maintain accurate records of additional works, variations and supporting evidence.
Monitor subcontractor wages, additional works and associated costs to ensure effective financial control.
Ensure contract documentation and records are accurate, complete and maintained in line with company and client requirements.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, contract performance and profitability.
About You
We are looking for an experienced electrical/construction professional with strong contract management and leadership experience. You will need to be confident managing site teams, working with clients and subcontractors, and balancing operational delivery with commercial and contractual requirements.
Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a thorough understanding of Health & Safety, contract compliance, project programmes and commercial control.
