Senior Electrical Systems Engineer

£500–£550 PER DAY | OUTSIDE IR35 | BEDFORD

CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Systems Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity based in Bedford.

THE DETAILS

• £500–£550 per day

• 5 days per week on site
  
  

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Taking technical ownership of electrical engineering projects.
  
  
• Maintaining, upgrading and improving existing plant and machinery.
  
  
• Supporting low and high voltage electrical systems.
  
  
• Leading equipment refurbishment and upgrade projects.
  
  
• Designing and introducing new electrical systems and technologies.
  
  
• Troubleshooting breakdowns and resolving complex technical issues.
  
  
• Managing projects from design through to installation and commissioning.
  
  
• Working with suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  
  

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or similar.
  
  
• 5–10 years' relevant industrial engineering experience.
  
  
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and machinery.
  
  
• Experience working with legacy plant and equipment.
  
  
• Understanding of low and high voltage systems.
  
  
• Experience with electrical design and engineering change processes.
  
  
• Knowledge of SPICE, LabVIEW, PLC programming or MATLAB would be beneficial.
  
  
• Control systems and electronics experience would be an advantage.
  
  
• A proactive engineer who can take ownership and drive solutions through to delivery.
