Electrician/ Electrical Maintenance Technician, Pharmaceutical
Official title: Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location; Northamptonshire
Salary; £35,000 - £40,000 (including shift allowance)
Hours: Rotating AM/PM shifts ((possible weekend working depending on shift))

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electrician, Electrical Improver, Electrical Technician or electrically biased engineer who wants to move into a maintenance engineering role within a highly regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You'll join a supportive engineering team where training and development are encouraged, giving you the chance to build a long-term career in manufacturing maintenance.
The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment and site services, fault finding, repairs, continuous improvement activities and supporting equipment reliability across the site.
We're looking for someone with:
• An electrical background from industrial, commercial, facilities, manufacturing or maintenance environments
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills
• A willingness to develop mechanical maintenance skills
• Knowledge of motors, drives, control systems and power distribution (advantageous)
• The ability to read technical drawings and schematics
• A proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Previous maintenance engineering experience is beneficial but not essential. Applications are welcomed from Electricians, Electrical Improvers and other electrically qualified candidates looking to transition into manufacturing maintenance.
Desirable:
• Experience within pharmaceutical, food, FMCG or other regulated manufacturing environments
• Basic PLC or automation fault-finding knowledge
• Engineering qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent technical certification
