Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and skilled individual with electrical maintenance experience who can work independently, manage priorities effectively, and contribute to the continued success of the Scottish Power account. Training and development opportunities, including LV AP training, are available for the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
- Perform inspections, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electrical installations and plant.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with relevant regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Issue permits to work for high-risk activities and ensure appropriate controls are in place.
- Monitor and supervise contractors to ensure work is completed to required standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and compliance documentation.
- Identify and report facilities-related issues while delivering excellent customer service.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend service enhancements.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Experience in electrical maintenance, ideally within Facilities
- Management or multi-site environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, processes, and fault diagnosis.
- Experience delivering both reactive and planned maintenance activities.
- Ability to manage workloads effectively and prioritise tasks.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
- Full UK driving licence required.
Essential Qualifications
- Fully electrically qualified.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- City & Guilds and/or NVQ in Electrical Installations.
- AM2 qualification.
- Additional electrical qualifications are advantageous.
