Estimator – Plumbing & Heating

This Estimator position offers a varied workload across domestic and commercial projects, genuine progression opportunities, and long-term stability. The successful Estimator will work closely with the operational team on projects across Northamptonshire. This Estimator role would suit someone confident pricing plumbing and heating works who enjoys being involved from enquiry through to project delivery.

Salary and Package

£50,000 - £60,000 per annum plus benefits

Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire

Full-time, Permanent Position

This is a full-time permanent position with a mix of office and site-based work. Projects are generally within a one-hour radius of the office, keeping travel manageable and local.

About the Role

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing and managing quotations across domestic and commercial plumbing and heating projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing accurate cost estimates and quotations
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project requirements
• Using Simpro estimating software
• Carrying out occasional site visits and surveys
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing
• Supporting project delivery teams where required
• Managing multiple enquiries and deadlines
• Working across both domestic and commercial projects
• Maintaining strong communication with customers and internal teams
• Supporting ongoing business growth with practical commercial input

Applicants should have previous estimating experience within plumbing, heating, mechanical or building services projects. Experience with Simpro would be beneficial, although strong estimating knowledge is the priority.
