HVAC Estimator / Project Manager
Location: Bromsgrove
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE + Bonus

We are recruiting on behalf of an established and growing commercial HVAC and air-conditioning contractor for an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to join their team.

With around 30 years' experience delivering commercial air-conditioning and ventilation solutions, the company works across a wide range of projects involving split and multi-split systems, VRV/VRF, AHUs, HRUs and ventilation, managing projects from initial survey and quotation through to installation, commissioning and handover.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HVAC professional who enjoys a role combining estimating, technical knowledge, project management and customer contact.
 
As an Estimator / Project Manager, you will take ownership of commercial HVAC projects from the initial enquiry through to completion.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing accurate and competitive quotations for commercial HVAC projects
• Carrying out site surveys and assessing project requirements
• Selecting and pricing appropriate air-conditioning and ventilation systems
• Interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications and project requirements
• Preparing material and labour costs
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
• Managing procurement and coordinating labour
• Overseeing projects from order through to installation, commissioning and handover
• Monitoring project costs, margins, variations and programmes
• Managing customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle
• Dealing with variations and additional works
• Ensuring projects are delivered commercially and efficiently
• Supporting the final account process

About You
We are looking for an experienced HVAC professional with a strong background in commercial air-conditioning and ventilation.
You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in HVAC estimating, project management or a combined Estimator / PM role
• Strong knowledge of split and multi-split air-conditioning systems
• Experience with VRV / VRF systems
• Good understanding of ventilation, AHUs and HRUs
• Experience working on commercial HVAC projects
• The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
• Strong estimating and commercial awareness
• Experience pricing labour, materials and subcontract packages
• Good supplier and subcontractor management skills
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• A customer-focused approach with the confidence to deal directly with clients

The Package

• £35,000 - £50,000 salary, depending on experience
