About the Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estimator to join my client, a growing regional groundworks contractor who are looking to expand their team with the appointment of an Estimator, based in Bristol. We are keen to hear from individuals at all stages of their career, whether you're looking to take your first steps into estimating as a Trainee Estimator, an experienced Estimator looking for a new challenge, or a Senior Estimator ready for your next move. We would also welcome applications from Assistant Quantity Surveyors who are interested in moving into estimating and developing their career in a different direction.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing contractor in a varied role, with the chance to develop your skills, build on your existing experience and play an important part in the successful delivery and growth of the business. The role will be based from their Bristol office, with hybrid working available to provide flexibility.

The Role

Depending on your level of experience, responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing tender documentation, drawings and specifications.
• Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Carrying out material, labour and subcontractor take-offs.
• Identifying potential risks, opportunities and value engineering options.
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Supporting the preparation and submission of tenders within agreed deadlines.
• Assisting with the handover of successful tenders to the delivery team.
• Maintaining accurate estimating records and contributing to the continuous improvement of estimating processes.
