Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day facilities, maintenance, compliance and contractor management across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties throughout London and the South East, ensuring buildings remain safe, compliant and well maintained. The role offers significant autonomy and responsibility, strong stakeholder management skills, and experience within commercial property environments.

Description

· Manage all day-to-day facilities requirements across a large commercial property portfolio.

· Coordinate and oversee planned preventative and reactive maintenance works.

· Obtain quotations, appoint contractors and monitor performance to ensure quality and value for money.

· Manage Fire Risk Assessments and ensure remedial actions are completed within agreed timescales.

· Oversee statutory compliance, including fire safety, health and safety obligations.

· Liaise with utility providers and resolve utility-related matters.

· Support the management and budgeting of service charges.

· Conduct regular property inspections and identify maintenance requirements.

· Manage the security, presentation and upkeep of vacant properties.

· Arrange security measures including alarms, inspections and boarding-up works where necessary.

· Maintain accurate compliance, maintenance and contractor records.

Profile

A successful Facilities Manager should have:

· Previous experience as a Facilities Manager, Estates Manager or similar role.

· Experience working within commercial property environments.

· Strong knowledge of property compliance, health & safety and statutory requirements.

· Experience managing Fire Risk Assessments and associated remedial works.

· Proven contractor management experience.

· Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.

· Full UK driving licence
