Fencing Project Manager - Stoke

Our Client is an established specialist contractor delivering fencing, perimeter security, and associated external works across a range of commercial and infrastructure environments.
Their projects include security fencing, palisade and mesh systems, temporary fencing, acoustic barriers, high-security perimeter systems, automated gates, access control, and specialist installations for infrastructure, utilities, industrial, commercial, and renewable energy projects.
Roles/ResponsibilitiesManage multiple fencing and perimeter security projects from inception through completion.
Develop and maintain project programmes, schedules, and delivery plans.
Coordinate direct labour, subcontractors, plant, equipment, and materials.
Conduct regular site visits and monitor progress against programme and budget.
Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, and quality standards.
Manage project costs, budgets, forecasts, and overall profitability.
Identify, document, and recover variations, compensation events, and additional works.
Support valuations, applications for payment, and subcontractor commercial management.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and principal contractors.
Attend pre-start, progress, coordination, and completion meetings.
Build strong client relationships and resolve project issues professionally.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
Review and manage RAMS, permits, site documentation, and project records.
Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and company procedures.
Coordinate labour requirements and ensure appropriate resources are available to meet programme demands.
Monitor installation quality, manage defects and snagging, and ensure timely closeout.
Prepare project reports and management updates covering programme, safety, quality, and financial performance.
Maintain complete and auditable project documentation.
Drive continuous improvement across project delivery and operational processes.
Proven experience managing fencing, perimeter security, external works, or related construction projects.
Strong knowledge of fencing systems, installation methods, and construction practices.
Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour teams.
Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and profitability.
Excellent understanding of health and safety requirements within construction environments.
Experience identifying and managing variations and additional works.
Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
Full UK driving licence.
SMSTS qualification.
IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
CSCS Card.
Experience in security fencing and perimeter protection is desirable.
Knowledge of automated gates and access control systems is advantageous.
Experience delivering infrastructure, utilities, rail, MOD, or solar farm projects is beneficial.
Temporary Works awareness is desirable.
First Aid at Work qualification is advantageous.
PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent project management qualification is beneficial.
Competitive salary of £45,000–£65,000+ per annum, dependent on experience.
