Are you a sales focused professional with proven experience in account management, developing customer relationships and driving business growth?

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Field Sales Manager to join their established and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a results driven sales professional to manage and develop existing customer accounts, win new business and build long term relationships with key customers.

The role is predominantly field based, involving regular customer visits, meetings with key stakeholders and identifying opportunities to increase sales and maximise account potential. You will also work closely with the internal sales team to ensure customer requirements are met and a consistently high level of service is delivered.

Working arrangements: You will be required to attend the office on Mondays and Fridays, with Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays dedicated primarily to field based customer visits, meetings and business development activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse market trends, customer requirements and competitor activity to identify new sales opportunities, potential sales volumes and appropriate pricing strategies.
• Develop and implement targeted sales campaigns to grow existing customer accounts and increase revenue.
• Proactively visit customers to strengthen relationships, understand their needs and identify opportunities for account development.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities through prospecting, networking and customer engagement.
• Re-engage with previous customers to generate repeat business and maximise sales potential.
• Build relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders across customer organisations.
• Increase sales and average order values through effective cross-selling and upselling.
• Negotiate commercial terms, prepare quotations and confidently manage the sales process through to completion.
• Maintain accurate customer records, sales forecasts and activity reports, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met.
• Deliver excellent customer service and support the resolution of complex customer enquiries.
• Work collaboratively with the internal sales team to coordinate customer requirements, quotations, orders and follow-up activities.
• Manage time and travel effectively to maximise customer contact, sales opportunities and overall performance.

The successful candidate will have:

• At least two years' proven experience in field sales, account management or a similar customer facing sales role.
• A proactive, tenacious and commercially focused approach, with a strong drive to achieve sales targets.
• Experience developing existing accounts while identifying and winning new business.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong influencing, presentation and negotiation skills.
• The ability to plan and manage a field-based schedule independently while working effectively as part of a wider team.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong organisational skills, including the ability to maintain accurate records and prepare sales reports.
• A full, valid UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel regularly to customer sites.
