Field Service Engineer – Garage Equipment

Watford, Hertfordshire and North London

Starting Slary of £37,000 + overtime + company van + benefits

Are you a hands-on Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Service Technician looking for a secure, home-based role offering variety, independence and excellent earning potential?

We are recruiting for a long-established and highly respected UK garage equipment business. You will work independently across Watford, Hertfordshire, North London and the surrounding M25 region, servicing, repairing and maintaining essential workshop equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong mechanical, electrical or pneumatic fault-finding skills. Previous garage equipment experience is advantageous but not essential, as full product training will be provided.

The Role

• Service, maintain, repair and calibrate garage equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults
• Work on tyre changers, wheel balancers and lifting equipment
• Complete planned preventative maintenance
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise customer downtime
• Manage your daily workload and appointments
• Complete reports using a tablet-based system
• Build positive relationships with customers
• Travel throughout your local territory

The Candidate

• Field service, maintenance or service engineering experience
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
• Mechanical, electrical or pneumatic engineering knowledge
• Practical and customer-focused approach
• Comfortable working independently
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence

Experience with garage equipment, vehicle workshops, lifting equipment, plant machinery or similar systems would be beneficial. Applications are also welcomed from ex-forces engineers with relevant technical experience.
