Job Description:

Field Service Engineer

• Varied Service Engineer position within a small, but growing, engineering business who operate within the process sector. 

• Predominantly covers the UK (Some Ireland) which makes up around 50% - 70% of the role. The rest of the time is based at HQ. 

• Door to door pay with good levels of overtime available. 

• Could suit a recently trained, Electrically biased Engineer who is looking to move into a Field Service role. 

Opportunity to work on a range of automated machinery used predominantly within the food / process sector. As Field Service Engineer, we do need someone who is comfortable to travel across the UK to visit customer sites. When not on site, this position involves working on internal projects to help plan further site work. This is a great time to be a part of a growing team who works with leading manufacturers within their sector. 

Salary: £37,000 to £43,000 as a guide + Overtime. 24 days holiday + banks, 5% pension matched, Private healthcare Aviva, Pool Van for all jobs (can be taken home when needed too), Overtime x1.5 rate anything over 8 hours a day,

This Field Service Engineer job will involve:

• Working on customer sites to undertake a range of engineering duties, including servicing, repairs, testing, and modifications. 

• When not on site, and working in the office, duties focus on RAMS, reports, preparing jobs, liaising with customers by telephone / email, and getting parts ready for site. Occasionally a bit of light assembly work too.

• Whilst multiskilled, you will be working with electrical parts, including drives, PLC's and control panels. Any overlap would be ideal. 

 This Field Service Engineer job will suit:

• An Electrically biased Engineer who is accustomed to (or willing to) travel the UK visiting customer sites. 

• Multiskilled or slightly electrically biased in nature. 

• Any process or automated machinery experience would be relevant for this role. PLC exposure would have good overlap but training can be given.

• Be within a commutable range of Newcastle-under-Lyme. Whilst this is mostly Service based, we do need someone who can commute to the office between projects. 

• Engineering qualified / apprentice trained.
