Field Service Engineer

As a Field Service Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting customers across your region while helping build a rapidly expanding service team.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary – £35,000–£45,000+ (depending on experience)
• Bonus – £3,000–£5,000 annual bonus
• Hours – 39-hour working week

The Role – Field Service Engineer

Working as a Field Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, breakdown repairs and overhauls on industrial pumping equipment at customer sites and within the workshop.

Key responsibilities include:

• Attending customer sites across a 50-mile radius of Warrington
• Diagnosing and repairing pump breakdowns
• Mechanical strip-downs and rebuilds
• Basic electrical work, mainly wiring pumps
• Working independently while providing excellent customer service
• Supporting workshop overhauls when required

The role is predominantly mechanical, with around 90% of work focused on reactive breakdowns, making it ideal for someone who enjoys fault finding and solving problems on-site.

What They're Looking For

The ideal Field Service Engineer will have:

• Hands-on experience working with industrial pumps
• Mechanical strip-down and rebuild skills
• Basic electrical knowledge, including pump wiring
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently
• A willingness to learn and develop through ongoing training

The business is happy to consider experienced engineers, maintenance engineers with pump exposure, or even recently qualified apprentices who have gained practical experience working on pumps.
