Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: National Coverage
Salary: £36,000 – £50,000 DOE
Hours: 45 hours per week
The Role:
This is a varied field-based role involving the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of specialist equipment across customer sites nationwide. The role is approximately 70% mechanical / 30% electrical, making it ideal for a hands-on, mechanically biased engineer. Full training is provided, with opportunities across both service and installation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned servicing, maintenance and inspections on specialist and workshop equipment.
- Install new equipment at customer sites across the UK.
- Carry out calibration of specialist equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Inspect vehicle lifts and associated safety equipment, including ropes, pulleys, safety switches and other components.
- Attend breakdowns and carry out reactive repairs when required.
- Carry out preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability.
- Complete digital job sheets, service reports and other documentation using a company tablet.
- Work safely and professionally at customer sites.
- Liaise directly with customers and provide a high standard of service.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Identify potential sales opportunities where appropriate.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a hands-on mechanical or engineering role.
- Mechanical bias with some electrical knowledge.
- Experience within vehicle mechanics, mechanical maintenance, machinery, lifting equipment, garage equipment or a similar engineering environment would be advantageous.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
