Field Service Engineer Required! -
Our client is a leading manufacturer of specialist sterilisation solutions, serving a variety of professional, research, and clinical sectors worldwide.
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Field Service Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing routine maintenance, fault finding, repairs, calibration, installation, commissioning, and operator training at customer sites.
Package:
- Salary £40,000 - £42,000 (DOE)
- Fully expensed company vehicle, mobile phone & Credit Card (subsistence expenses for out of area tasks)

Field Service Engineer - Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance, fault finding, repairs, calibration, validation, installation and commissioning of equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and control system faults.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical engineering drawings and schematics.
- Work with three-phase and single-phase electrical systems, PLC controls and associated monitoring equipment.
- Undertake autoclave validation, temperature mapping and calibration in accordance with company procedures and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
- Support equipment modifications and adjustments to optimise performance and validation results.
- Apply knowledge of steam generation, sterilisation processes, autoclave operation and cycle stages.
- Deliver customer and operator training on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate service, calibration and validation records and complete technical reports.
- Work in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 quality standards and company procedures.
- Represent the company professionally when working at customer sites and provide timely technical support.
Field Service Engineer - Requirements:
- HNC, HND or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering desirable, although relevant practical experience will be considered.
- Full UK driving licence and valid passport essential.
- Practical field engineering experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Knowledge of single- and three-phase electrical systems, mechanical fault finding, component replacement, pipework and plumbing.
- Previous Field Service Engineering experience within autoclave, medical, steam, pressure systems or similar sectors desirable.
- Self-motivated with strong customer service, communication, organisation and time management skills.
- Flexible to travel throughout the UK, including periods away from home; occasional international travel may be required.
