A leading supplier of industrial fluid management solutions is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their growing team covering customers across the Midlands region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong customer-facing skills who enjoys working independently and building long-term relationships with customers. The role offers a varied workload, combining technical service, preventative maintenance, fluid management, and customer support.

The RoleAs a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting customers using metalworking fluids and associated equipment, ensuring optimum performance and service levels across customer sites.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out onsite coolant checks and condition monitoring.
  
  
• Servicing and maintaining a range of industrial equipment.
  
  
• Supporting machine tool cleanout projects.
  
  
• Managing and monitoring cutting fluid trials.
  
  
• Assisting with CNC air-filter installations when required.
  
  
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  
  
• Recording customer visits, service activities, and recommendations.
  
  
• Working closely with sales and technical teams to deliver customer solutions.
  
  
• Occasional overnight travel (typically 0–3 nights per month).
  
  

The CandidateThe successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a Field Service Engineer, Service Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Applications Engineer, or similar customer-facing engineering role.
  
  
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills.
  
  
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  
  
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
  
  
• The ability to work independently and manage a regional customer base.
  
  
• A full UK driving licence.
  
  

Experience within manufacturing, machining, CNC, metalworking fluids, lubrication systems, filtration equipment, industrial consumables, or engineering services would be advantageous but is not essential.
