Job Description:

When a piece of specialist medical equipment stops working, getting it back up and running can make a real difference to the people who rely on it. As a Field Service Engineer, you'll use your technical expertise to solve problems, keep advanced laser systems performing at their best and enjoy the freedom of managing your own workload across the South Coast.

You'll be working with cutting-edge medical and aesthetic technology, supporting hospitals, clinics and distributors with everything from installations and preventative maintenance to fault-finding and repairs. You'll also receive comprehensive product training, so you don't need to have worked with medical devices or lasers before.

What's in it for you

• £30,000–£48,000 basic salary, depending on experience, with realistic total earnings of £38,000–£56,000 through overtime and bonus.
• Overtime opportunities, typically worth an additional £5,000–£10,000 per year, plus an annual profit-related bonus.
• Company vehicle, laptop and mobile phone provided.
• 33 days' annual leave, including bank holidays, plus an additional paid day off for your birthday.
• Six weeks' initial technical training at company headquarters, with ongoing development and opportunities for overseas travel if desired.
• Life insurance worth three times your salary, pension scheme and product discounts.

Your responsibilities as a Field Service Engineer

• Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs on specialist laser and IPL equipment, ensuring systems operate safely and reliably.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic and technical faults at customer sites.
• Install, commission and calibrate new equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide technical support to hospitals, clinics and distributors, resolving issues and minimising downtime.
• Complete accurate maintenance records, reports and technical documentation in line with medical device regulations.
• Manage your regional workload and customer visits, maintaining high standards of technical support.

What we're looking for in a Field Service Engineer

• A technical background in engineering, electronics, physics or a related discipline, gained through qualifications or practical experience.
• Experience diagnosing, maintaining or repairing electrical or electronic equipment.
• Previous experience with medical devices, laser systems or IPL technology would be advantageous but isn't essential.
• Good IT skills, including the ability to complete technical reports and maintenance records accurately.
• A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel to customer sites across the South Coast.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, full-time day shifts, with travel to customer sites across the South Coast.

If you enjoy solving technical challenges, want the freedom to manage your own workload and would like to develop your expertise in specialist medical technology, this Field Service Engineer opportunity could be an excellent next step. Apply today!
