Job Description:
When you're trusted with the numbers that shape business decisions, you need the influence to do something with them. As Finance Manager, you'll take ownership of a key finance function, lead a team of two and work directly with the Finance Director to improve reporting, strengthen processes and support the continued growth of a successful operational business.
This is a hands-on senior position where you'll be close to the action rather than removed from it. You'll have the opportunity to influence performance, develop your team and work closely with senior leadership in a collaborative, vibrant office environment.
What’s in it for you
- Salary of £70,000 depending on experience.
- Direct exposure to the FD and senior leadership team.
- The opportunity to influence financial performance and key business decisions.
- Responsibility for leading and developing a team of two.
- A successful, growing business offering a fast-paced operational environment.
- A supportive, close-knit office environment with onsite parking.
Your responsibilities as Finance Manager

- Lead, support and develop two direct reports, maintaining high standards across the function.
- Work closely with the Finance Director and wider leadership team to understand performance and provide meaningful financial insight.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and systems as the business continues to grow.
- Manage relationships and requirements involving banks, auditors and other external stakeholders.
- Maintain strong financial controls while supporting the demands of a fast-moving operational business.
What we’re looking for in a Finance Manager
- Fully AAT qualified alongside ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification, or qualified by experience; strong finalists will also be considered.
- Proven experience operating at a senior level within a busy finance function, ideally within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong Excel, systems and financial reporting skills, with the ability to turn financial information into clear insight.
- Experience managing and developing staff and taking ownership of a finance function or significant area within it.
- Confidence working with banks, auditors, external stakeholders and senior leaders, including presenting financial information clearly.
If you're ready to take ownership, influence performance and work closely with senior leadership in a growing business, apply today for the Finance Manager position with your most up-to-date CV.
