Finance Systems Administrator - 18 Months Fixed Term Contract - Hybrid Working

We’re looking for a Finance Systems Administrator to join our Group Finance Systems team, supporting the ongoing development and operation of SunSystems and related finance applications.

This is a hands‑on systems role focused on configuration, system administration, and continuous improvement — not a traditional accounting or reporting position.

Responsibilities

System Administration & Configuration

• Act as a system administrator for SunSystems, supporting system stability and data integrity.
• Perform hands‑on configuration (e.g. chart of accounts, business rules, controls).
• Support upgrades, releases, and environment management.
• Maintain system documentation and governance standards.

Delivery & Improvement

• Support system enhancements and change delivery from design through to implementation.
• Translate finance requirements into system configuration and process improvements.
• Work with vendors and external partners on delivery activity.

Data & Integration

• Support integration between SunSystems, D365 F&O, and other platforms.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data across systems.
• Assist with data migration, validation, and reconciliation during change activity.

Support & Operations

• Provide second‑line support for finance systems.
• Investigate and resolve system issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and performance optimisation.

Collaboration & Governance

• Act as a key interface between Finance, IT, and system delivery teams.
• Support governance forums and prioritisation of system changes.
• Promote standardisation and best practice across finance systems.

Knowledge, Responsibilities and Qualifications

We’re interested in candidates who are systems‑focused and technically minded, with experience in finance platforms.

Ideal experience includes:

• Proven SUNSystems administration experience, including direct experience with patching and upgrading.
• Experience in system upgrades, integrations, and environment management.
• Expert level knowledge of Q&A 10/11.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and management reporting
• Excellent stakeholder managements skills and ability to collaborate across IT and Finance Teams.
• Fluent in English, other European language skills advantageous.
• Proficient spoken and written communication skills including the ability to communicate complex issues to any level of employee.
