Fire & Security Engineer – Installation & Service Opportunities

Location: Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire & Hertfordshire
Salary: Up to £45,000 basic

Package details

• Travel paid, minus the first 30 minutes

• Annual bonus of £2,000+

• No call-out rota – including for Service Engineers

• 23 days' annual leave plus bank holidays

• An additional day's holiday for full attendance in each quarter (up to 4 extra days per year)

• Further training and development opportunities

• 39-hour working week:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30am–5pm

  • Friday: 8:30am–4pm

Company overview

Our client is a well-established Fire & Security business with over 35 years of industry experience and a strong national and international presence. They hold NSI Gold accreditation for both Fire Systems and NACOSS Gold for security systems, alongside BAFE SP203-1 accreditation for Fire Detection & Alarm Systems and SP101 for Portable Fire Extinguishers. They deliver specialist fire protection, life safety and integrated security solutions across commercial, industrial, retail, education, healthcare and public sector environments. We have successfully placed eight candidates with the business, including a Project Manager and an Installation Manager.

Role overview

We are recruiting for two types of Fire & Security Engineer:

Our client is open to candidates with experience in either Fire Alarm systems OR Fire & Security, so you don't need to have a security background to be considered.

• Installation & Commissioning Engineer – Carrying out installation and commissioning work.

• Service Engineer – Completing planned servicing, fault-finding and maintenance.

Both opportunities cover Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.
