Fire & Security Engineer
Location: Essex
Salary: Up to £48,000 + Overtime
 
The Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced Fire & Security Engineers to join an established and growing engineering business, covering projects and service works across Essex and the surrounding areas.
This is a permanent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in fire alarm and/or security systems, looking to join a professional team with a varied workload across commercial, residential, healthcare, education and other sectors.
The role will involve a mixture of installation, servicing, maintenance, fault finding and reactive works, depending on your experience.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Installation, servicing and maintenance of fire alarm and security systems
• Fault finding and diagnosis of system issues
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive call-outs
• Working on a range of fire alarm, CCTV, access control and associated security systems
• Completing service reports and relevant paperwork accurately
• Liaising professionally with customers and site teams
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with relevant industry standards
• Supporting installation and commissioning works where required
• Working safely and professionally at customer sites

About You
 
We are looking for engineers with previous experience within the Fire & Security industry.
You may be a Fire Alarm Engineer, Security Engineer or a multi-skilled Fire & Security Engineer.
Ideally, you will have experience with some of the following:

• Fire alarm systems
• CCTV
• Access control
• Door entry
• Intruder alarm systems
• Fault finding and diagnostics
• Installation, servicing and maintenance

Relevant industry qualifications and manufacturer experience would be advantageous, although candidates with strong practical experience will also be considered.
A full UK driving licence is required.
