Job Description:
Enjoy flexible working with this interim Fire Safety Officer position, with the opportunity to become permanent. Based within the social housing sector, this role offers the opportunity to play a key part in maintaining fire safety compliance and protecting residents across a housing portfolio.
You will be working for a well-established housing organisation that values its residents, contractors and employees, with a strong focus on resident safety, compliance, attention to detail and effective partnership working.
As the Fire Safety Officer, you will be:
- Carrying out fire safety inspections across social housing properties.
- Completing fire door inspections and identifying defects and remedial requirements.
- Monitoring and managing Fire Risk Assessment actions through to completion.
- Inspecting passive fire protection measures and identifying compliance issues.
- Liaising with external contractors and fire safety specialists to coordinate remedial works.
- Monitoring fire safety remedial works to ensure they are completed to the required standards.
- Supporting audits and ensuring properties remain compliant with relevant fire safety requirements.
- Working closely with housing, property and compliance teams to maintain resident safety.
Fire Safety Officer – Qualifications / Experience:
- Experience working as a Fire Safety Officer or Building Safety Officer.
- Previous social housing or residential property experience.
- Knowledge of Fire Risk Assessments and remedial action management.
- Strong understanding of fire safety compliance and resident safety.
- Relevant fire safety qualification such as Level 3 Fire Safety or equivalent.
As the Fire Safety Officer, you will receive:
- £45,000 to £52,000
