Job Description:

Fire & Security Engineer – North East area – £34,000 - £38,000 Basic

Package & Benefits:

• Basic salary of £34,000 - £38,000 per annum
• Overtime available
• Permanent, full-time position
• Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
• Covering North East England areas
• Company vehicle, fuel card, mobile phone and specialist equipment supplied
• Travel time paid after the first 30 minutes each way
• 23 days annual leave + bank holidays, increasing with service

The Role:

As a Fire & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out:

• Installation, servicing and planned maintenance of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems
• Fault diagnosis, repairs and reactive call-outs when required
• Work across a broad range of commercial sites, alongside some residential projects
• Coverage across North East region
• Ensuring systems are compliant, fully operational and completed to industry standards
• Delivering a professional service and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Participation in the on-call rota as part of the engineering team
• You will be working on a range of industry-leading systems including:
  • Kentec, Advanced, Morley, Hyfire & Cooper.

Requirements:

• A full UK driving licence (essential)
• Previous experience in the fire and security industry
• Good working knowledge of a range of fire and/or security systems
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
• The ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
• Flexibility to take part in a call-out rota
• A professional approach, strong work ethic and positive attitude
