Fire Stopping Contracts Manager / Business Development Lead – Full-Time Position
Build and Lead a New Fire Stopping Division
Due to continued growth and the recent achievement of FIRAS certification, we are seeking an ambitious and experienced Fire Stopping Contracts Manager / Business Development Lead to establish and grow a dedicated fire stopping division within our established commercial maintenance business.
This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual who has the experience, industry contacts, and drive to build a department from the ground up, with the full backing, investment, and resources of an established company.
We are looking for someone who can not only deliver fire stopping projects but also identify opportunities, develop client relationships, secure work, recruit operatives, and create a sustainable and profitable business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead our fire stopping division from inception
- Develop and implement a growth strategy for the department
- Generate new business opportunities and secure fire stopping contracts
- Leverage existing industry contacts and relationships to build a strong pipeline of work
- Manage client relationships and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Recruit, develop, and manage fire stopping operatives and subcontractors
- Oversee project delivery, quality assurance, and compliance with FIRAS standards
- Prepare quotations, tenders, and project costings
- Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry regulations
- Work closely with the senior management team to achieve agreed growth targets
Requirements
- Proven experience within the fire stopping industry
- Strong understanding of passive fire protection and FIRAS requirements
- Demonstrable experience in winning and delivering fire stopping contracts
- Existing client relationships and industry contacts
- Experience managing projects, teams, and operational delivery
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and maximise opportunities
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
