Job Description:

Novara People are currently recruiting for an FLT Driver / Order Picker to join a well-established distribution and manufacturing business based in Tingley.

Hours:
Monday to Friday
6:30am – 3:30pm
Temporary to permanent

Our client is a leading supplier of specialist sheet materials, panels and timber-based products, supplying customers across a wide range of industries including construction, manufacturing, furniture and interiors.

This is a hybrid role combining FLT driving with warehouse picking duties. During your first 3–6 months, you'll receive comprehensive training to develop an in-depth understanding of the company's extensive product range. This knowledge is essential to ensure accurate order picking and provide support to the wider warehouse operation.

The successful candidate will be hands-on, reliable and willing to learn, becoming a key part of a busy warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities:
Operating a Counterbalance FLT to safely move stock around the warehouse
Picking customer orders accurately using pick lists
Loading and unloading deliveries
Moving sheet materials, timber products and panels safely around site
Booking stock into warehouse locations
Assisting with stock replenishment and inventory control
Carrying out quality checks before dispatch
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
Completing daily FLT safety checks
Supporting warehouse operations as required

Skills:

Valid Counterbalance FLT licence
Previous warehouse and FLT experience
Willingness to learn a wide range of products and materials
Good attention to detail
Strong organisational skills
Positive attitude and excellent work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications:

Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence (Essential)
Previous experience within a warehouse or distribution environment
Experience handling timber, sheet materials or construction products would be advantageous but not essential
