Job Description:

Keeping a busy manufacturing yard moving safely depends on materials being in the right place at the right time. As an FLT Driver/Yard Operative, you'll take ownership of moving, organising and booking in steel and aluminium products while enjoying regular weekday hours and an early Friday finish.

This is a long-term opportunity with an established and growing employer, offering the potential to secure a permanent position after the initial temporary period.

Your responsibilities as FLT Driver/Yard Operative

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move materials safely around the site
• Load and unload steel, aluminium and other materials
• Handle and position large lengths of steel safely
• Organise raw materials within the yard to support efficient operations
• Book products in and out and take ownership of goods-in processes
• Complete all activities in line with site health and safety procedures

What we’re looking for in a FLT Driver/Yard Operative

• Valid, in-date accredited Counterbalance Forklift Licence
• Previous experience working within a yard environment
• Essential experience handling large lengths of steel
• Knowledge of safe material handling and workplace health and safety procedures

Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:00–15:45, and Friday, 07:00–13:00.
