Job Description:

Forklift Truck Driver / Warehouse Operative

A1 Jobs are seeking a dedicated and skilled Forklift Truck Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our clients Stores department. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading materials from trucks, maintaining and organizing pallets, and ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the stores area. The role also requires flexibility to assist other departments that require forklift operations.

Duties

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials.
• Move goods to designated storage areas and ensure accurate stock placement.
• Assist with receiving and dispatching deliveries.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support stock control processes.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
• Support general warehouse duties working building pallets etc

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely load and unload materials from trucks using a forklift truck.
• Maintain, organize, and repair pallets as required.
• Ensure the stores area is kept clean, tidy, and in good order.
• Collaborate with other departments as needed, performing forklift operations.

Requirements

• Valid and in-date Forklift Truck (FLT) licence (e.g., Counterbalance)
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills

• Proven reliability in previous positions (good references)
• Strong work ethic (not afraid of hard work)
• Physically fit (able to stay on your feet for long periods of the day)
