Job Description:

FPGA Design Consultant | Coventry | £35,000 - £55,000

Our client is seeking talented and motivated engineers to join a growing engineering consultancy delivering advanced digital hardware solutions across a variety of industries. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative design team across the full development lifecycle — from requirements definition and specification through to implementation, integration, and verification. 

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse system requirements and contribute to FPGA solution development.
• Produce technical specifications and break designs into manageable development tasks.
• Develop module-level architectures and detailed design documentation.
• Implement RTL designs while considering constraints such as timing, power, area, and overall performance.
• Perform module and system-level verification activities.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of digital design principles and methodologies.
• Experience in RTL development using VHDL and/or Verilog.
• Familiarity with FPGA simulation, synthesis, and implementation tools.
• Understanding of FPGA development workflows and verification techniques.
• Practical FPGA development experience.
