Freelance Logistics Manager – Large Residential New Build

Location: East London
Contract: Freelance (Long-Term)
Start: Immediate

We are recruiting for an experienced Freelance Logistics Manager to join a leading main contractor on a large-scale residential new build development in East London.

This is an excellent long-term opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy construction site, coordinating logistics, deliveries, and site labour to keep the project running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all site deliveries in line with the construction programme.
• Schedule and control delivery bookings to minimise disruption and maintain site efficiency.
• Supervise and allocate labourers to support site operations and maintain productivity.
• Ensure site access, traffic management, and material movements are organised safely.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the project.
• Work closely with the Site Management team, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective logistics planning.
• Monitor and enforce health and safety procedures relating to logistics operations.
• Keep accurate records of deliveries, plant movements, and labour allocation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Logistics Manager on large residential or mixed-use construction projects.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Experience managing site logistics, labourers, and delivery schedules on busy construction sites.
• Good understanding of health and safety legislation and site logistics planning.
• Valid CSCS Card, SMSTS/SSSTS (preferred), and First Aid at Work certification.
